How Much Does a High Speed Braiding Machine Cost? What Drives the Quote

“How much does a braiding machine cost?” is the question we hear most. We quote by carrier count and configuration: two 16-carrier machines can be configured very differently for PE fishing line and for shoelaces, so a published list price would not tell you much. Here is what drives the quote and how to get an accurate one.

First, carrier count. The number of carriers sets the product diameter range and the output per machine, and it is the basis of the price. 8- and 16-carrier models suit fine lines and small batches of many products; 24- and 32-carrier models suit medium diameters and volume production; 48 carriers and above are for large diameters and high output. More carriers is not always better: choose by your product diameter and target output.

Second, braiding pitch and wire diameter range. Products differ in the braid density they need, and the pitch range and wire diameter range decide how many products one machine can make. If you plan to run several specifications on one machine, tell us the finest and the coarsest when you inquire.

Third, tension control, take-up, and automation. The tension control method, broken-yarn stop, and automatic traverse take-up all affect the price, as well as product quality and labor needs. We recommend a configuration based on your material and quality requirements and do not suggest options you will not use.

Fourth, voltage and market requirements. The standard configuration is three-phase 380V. If your market uses another voltage, or needs specific certificates and documents, mention it in your inquiry and we will confirm the configuration.

Beyond the machine itself, budget for freight and insurance, import duties, installation and commissioning (remote video guidance, or travel costs for an on-site engineer), wear parts, and consumables. These vary widely by destination and service, and we list them in the quote.

Before asking for a quote, prepare: braiding material and wire diameter, finished diameter and braid structure, target output, voltage, destination country, and whether you have samples. The more complete the information, the more accurate the quote. We can run a trial with your material, and key specs such as speed and output can be written into the technical agreement and accepted against it.

Our contract terms are stated plainly: 30% prepayment with the balance paid according to the contract payment plan; a production cycle of about 15-20 days for standard models, with custom models confirmed by configuration; a 72-hour test run for every machine before shipment; and a 12-month machine warranty from installation and commissioning, followed by lifetime technical support and spare parts supply.
